TNIAMP - 2018-19

TNIAMP is a multi disciplinary project funded by World Bank and implemented by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

The main objective of the programme is crop diversification from paddy to Horticulture crops, water conservation and promotion of reduced pesticide usages and climate resilient technologies.

TNIAMP II will be implemented in next 6 years from 2018-19 to 2023-24 and programmed to implement the demonstration under fruits, Hybrid vegetables, spices and flowers cultivation at an outlay Rs.210.00 crores in 66 sub basins of 30 Districts.

First Year Programme:

TNIAMP was implemented in the first year in 18 sub basins of 22 Districts Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, perambalur, Dharmapuri, Madurai, Dindugul, Theni, Viruthunagar, Thirunelveli, Thootukudi, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudhukottai, Trichy, Erode and Coimbatore under Horticulture crops at an outlay of Rs. 1762.677 Lakh as against the target of Rs.1791.459 lakh.

Second year Programme (2019-20):

During the year 2019-20 this scheme was implemented in sub basins of Phase – I second year at an outlay of Rs. 1221.955 lakh along with the phase – II first year at an outlay of Rs. 2673.740 lakh.
