MIDH-NHM

The scheme is being implemented in 26 districts viz, Ariyalur, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Erode, Kanyakumari, Kallakurichi, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Perambalur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Ranipet, Salem, Sivagangai, Tenkasi, Thanjavur, The Nilgiris, Theni, Tirupattur, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, Trichy, Vellore and Villupuram. The major crops covered under this scheme are viz Mango, Banana, Papaya, Guava, Cashew, Cocoa, Hybrid Vegetables, Spice Chillies, Turmeric, Pepper, Loose and Bulbous Flowers.

The scheme also provides subsidies for establishment of water harvesting structures, poly green house, shade net, organic farming, mechanization, post-harvest technologies like pack house, low-cost onion storage structures, cold storage and marketing facilities like mobile vending cart, retail market and refrigerated transport vehicle.

The scheme is implemented through District Mission Committees headed by the District Collectors and Joint Director / Deputy Director of Horticulture of the district is the member Secretary of the committee.
